I was alarmed awake this morning. My wife was listening to a streamed interview of Ted and Gayle Haggard that took place in February this year. You may recall that Haggard, pastor of a 14,000 member church in Colorado Springs, was accused of homosexual liasons.
Gayle has written a book, "Why I stayed," which my wife bought and read and of course, she being the librarian and I being the nearest and only subscriber, received a thorough review.
The reason this is posted is because to watch and listen to the interview is to be permitted an intimate look into the heart of a sinner. It is not particularly easy to watch but evokes difficult feelings. Not necessarily because we are guilty of the same or similar sins, but because we are sinners who have been forgiven and often we need reminding of what it means to be forgiven, and equally important, to know and practice forgiveness. If the link below to her website does not work (and when I try to link they seldom do), just Google her name: Gayle Haggard, scroll down to "Great Lakes Church Interview." You can't miss it. Try not to miss this interview. (Put the cursor at the head of the link and do a (Ctrl-click). We hope you are blessed. e.c. & j.c.
