For The Day of The Lord

"For the day of the Lord of Hosts shall come upon everything proud and lofty, upon everything lifted up- and it shall be brought low- upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan; upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up; upon every high tower, and upon every fortified wall; upon all the ships of Tarshis, and upon all the beautiful sloops. The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of man shall be brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day, but the idols He shall utterly abolish. They shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth mightily." [Isaiah 2:12-19].
If there  is any wonder what it is that Isaiah is writing about my Bible links the last verse quoted above with II Thessalonians 1:7-10 which reads "When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance upon those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, When He comes in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired in all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed."
Is Christ coming soon? Sooner than we may think or believe. "Even so, come, Lord Jesus." [Revelation 22:20]. Blessings. e.c.
